Virtual Turkey Trot Frequently Asked Questions
Why a virtual event?
With the continued concerns of large gatherings and the safety of the participants and volunteers, we are just not sure races will be allowed by November of this year. The virtual component became an exciting alternative allowing people from all over the world an opportunity to “run – so she doesn’t have to”.
How does a virtual race work?
A virtual event is just like our traditional event but you run or walk wherever you are. Register between now and November 9th (so you get a bib, t-shirt and medal) then on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, you pick your start time and go! You choose. You can run outside on a trail, a street in your neighborhood or on a treadmill at your gym. Wherever you want, whenever you want; alone or with whomever you want! The goal is to have people from all over the world participating in this event on the same day using their voices to say “it is wrong for a child to be sold for sex”!
Do I have to run or can I walk the 5 or 10K?
Either! This is your race; your choice. Set a goal that works for you and your fitness level. However, we want everyone participating on the same day Thursday, November 26th, between 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. PST
Do I need to submit my race time?
No. But do submit photos! Since the “race” is on an honor system and there is not a designated course, we will not offer prizes for finishing times as there are so many variables. However, we want to make this a fun and competitive event, so we’ll recognize individuals and groups for the following:
1. The Largest Group. Must have photo of all participants that raced together – kids and dogs count. Must be wearing your race gear.
2. The Individual Who Raised the Most Money.
3. Best Team Name.
4. Youngest Participant.
5. Oldest Participant.
6. Most family members participating together. Must have photo all participants that raced together – kids and dogs count. Must be wearing your CWW race shirt.
7. Best costumes. Must submit photos.
What is the cost of the virtual event and do you offer group discounts?
The cost is $35 per person with a $5 shipping fee for the t-shirt, medal and bib. We are offering an early bird registration special of $30 until October 20th. After that the cost will be $35. If you have 10 or more in your group, the cost is $25 per person through October 20th and after that $30.
How do I get started?

Since there is no actual race, what does my entry fee include?

When will I receive these items?

Can kids participate?
Yes! You can also bring your furry 4-legged loved ones! Send us photos! Make videos! Just keep in mind, in order for your children or your dog to receive a t-shirt, bib and medal you must register them and pay the fee.
You mentioned sharing photos and videos. How do I do that?
