We were reminded again this month that the fulfillment of a dream in one person can often be the launching place for many others to begin dreaming. As we welcomed home another daughter to Courage House NorCal this month, we had the privilege of, yet again, witnessing the beginning of transformation. We saw the dream of “family” become not just our own, but watched as our girls grabbed the vision and eagerly prepared to welcome home their new “sister.” We have sat back and watched girls that were strangers just weeks ago now have an incredible bond. And we’ve listened as they have almost breathlessly listed their new found favorite hobbies, educational goals, and desired recreational activities…all in true teen fashion. And the most memorable of them all, is when the girls begin to verbalize goals such as, “I am going to be the first in my whole family to graduate!” or, “I want to do this with my kids when I have them!” The dream God put in Jenny’s heart has mobilized an army of people to fight for these girls, resulting in girls that are now allowed to dream again and imagine not just a better life for themselves, but for the generations that will follow them. We are being reminded daily that dreaming large is not in vain; in fact, it is the very source of seeing destinies unleashed.
