So, what are YOU doing on Thanksgiving? How about having a healthy start before eating all that turkey, dressing, pumpkin pie with loads of whip cream, and then spending the afternoon filling up with chips & dip, and football games. How about a short run? The Elk Grove Turkey Trot is a 5K / 10K race for participants of all ages and fitness categories. Turnout at the first annual event, held in 2009, was amazing and raised $6,700 to support Courage to be You. All proceeds for the 4th Annual Courage Worldwide (formerly Courage to be You) Elk Grove Turkey Trot will benefit Courage House – a home for children rescued from sex trafficking. You are invited to join in a walk or run to change this world one individual at a time, helping to rescue and restore children who have been victims of sex trafficking.
The run is Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22, 9 a.m. at Cosumnes Oaks High School, 8350 Lotz Parkway. Registration Closing Date will be Monday, Nov. 19 at noon. Read More
