Kathryn Kurtz received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1999. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law in 2002. Following law school, Ms. Kurtz briefly worked in private practice at Stevens, Littman, Biddison, Tharp and Weinberg, LLC in Boulder, Colorado.
Ms. Kurtz has worked at the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office since 2003. She is currently assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit. The Crimes Against Children Unit is responsible for prosecuting all felony level offenses against children including sexual assault, homicide, exploitation and trafficking in children. Ms. Kurtz a member of the Rocky Mountain Innocence Lost Task Force, a multi-agency collaborative committed to investigating and prosecuting human trafficking.
