Mr. Taber has been with American River Bank since 1985 serving in various executive roles currently as Chief Executive Officer. He has been Chief Executive Officer for American River Bankshares since 1995 and serves on the board of both American River Bankshares and American River Bank. American River Bank is a regional bank serving Northern California since 1983. Mr. Taber has been active with the professional banking community throughout his career. He is the former Chairman of the Western Independent Bankers and the California Community Bankers. He is a former board member of California Bankers Association and served on the Community Bankers Council for the American Bankers Association.
Mr. Taber is also active in the community serving on the boards of many non-profits over the years. Some examples include the Safety Center, The Effort and Make a Wish. He is also active with the Christian Business Roundtable. Mr. Taber is also a Founding Board Member of the American River Bankshares Foundation and serves as the Foundation’s President. The American River Bankshares Foundation was established in July 2004 to give back meaningfully to local organizations that create opportunity, enhance self-esteem and provide physical and emotional well-being for the most vulnerable women and children.
On a personal note David has been married for 30 years and has raised two children. He attends Green Valley Community Church. He enjoys sailing, biking and golf with his wife Anneliese.
