Abolition International and Film Producer, David Trotter, have chosen Courage Worldwide as one of the cities and non-profits to be featured in the national documentary “In Plain Sight”. IN PLAIN SIGHT, narrated by Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Natalie Grant, seeks to raise awareness to the thousands of women and children who are forced, coerced, or deceived into the commercial sex trade each year in the United States. The five cities chosen are: Baltimore, Maryland; Dallas and Houston, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas and Sacramento, California. Through the mediums of a documentary film and an accompanying music album, our hope is that the average American will have their eyes opened to what’s happening “in plain sight” – the exploitation of thousands of people in their own communities. Most Americans are completely oblivious to this fact. The documentary not only exposes the evil that is happening in our cities but organizations and individuals who have been affected by this evil and who have courageously stepped into the fight to see its eradication. Jenny Williamson, Founder/CEO of Courage Worldwide is a member of Abolition International’s Advisory Committee and is featured in the documentary along with her newly adopted daughter Liz- a courageous survivor. Liz is 27 years old and has been with Courage Worldwide for nearly 4 years and gone through extensive healing and is now ready to tell her story to give hope to others. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of In Plain Sight and pray that by telling my story other girls will be rescued and restored just as I have been.” – Survivor, Liz Williamson “I’m going to go out on a limb here and tell you that IN PLAIN SIGHT is going to be the most inspirational film on sex trafficking…ever. The stories of hope and transformation that are rising out of the darkness are powerful and you MUST see this film.” – David Trotter, Executive Producer
