Packet Pick-up and Race Day Instructions
Friday, Aug 24th:
If possible, please attend our packet pickup at the Plumas Pines Resort, from 4-7pm. Bibs and bike/kayak number tags will be included in the packets and must be attached to bikes and kayaks prior to the start of the event. Participants are also encouraged to decorate or mark their kayaks in a way they can easily identify it to avoid confusion. Kayaks can be placed on the shore of the Rocky Point South Group Campground Hwy 89 (Station 3 on the map) ONLY BY OUR CREW of VOLUNTEERS on the EVENING OF THE 24th. You will be instructed where to drop off your kayak after picking up packet. Make sure you attach the identifying numbers onto the vessel prior to dropping it off with volunteers. We do have a team of “kayak guardians” camping on the shore where the kayaks are.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DROP OFF YOUR OWN KAYAK AT STATION 3 ON THE EVENING BEFORE OR THE MORNING OF THE EVENT. Per our contract with PG&E, public is no longer allowed into Station 3 due to traffic congestion, overcrowding and safety concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Saturday, Aug 25th:
Packet pick-up begins at 7am at the North Almanor Campground Parking Area (Station 2, or the run/bike transition area) on Almanor Dr West. Your first priority will be picking up your packet and attaching the race/identifying numbers to your equipment. If you have picked up your packet the night before and attached your numbers to your equipment, drop off your bike (and kayak on our trailers at Station 2 if you didn’t drop it off the night before). Proceed to check in. Check-in begins at 7am at Station 1, the Plumas Pines Resort (3000 Almanor Dr West), and is to be done after packet pick-up and staging of equipment at Station 2.
Proceed to the Plumas Pines and check in to receive timing chip.
A shuttle will provide access to Station 3 for team members. Unfortunately we can not allow spectators at Station 3.
