Parking and Directions

Friday, Aug 25th:
If possible, please attend our packet pickup so kayaks and bikes can be put in place before checking in the morning of the event. Packet pickup will be in front of Holiday Market – 271 Main St., Chester, CA 96020 from 4-7pm. Bibs and bike number tags will be included in the packets and must be attached to bikes prior to the start of the event. Participants must write name or place identifying marks on their kayaks to avoid confusion. Kayaks can be placed on the shore of the Rocky Point South Group Campground, Hwy 89, any time after picking up packet on the evening of the 26th.
Saturday, Aug 26th:
Check-in (to be done after packet pick-up and staging of equipment) begins at 7am at the Plumas Pines Resort, 3000 Almanor Dr West. Packet pick-up begins at 7am at the North Almanor Campground Parking Area (the run/bike transition area) on Almanor Dr west. Place your (easy to identify) kayak on the shore of the South Group Campground first, then proceed to the North Almanor Parking Area off Almanor Dr. West. Pick up your packet if you haven’t done so already. Place corresponding bib number sticker, found in packet, onto bike. Place bike (with number adhered) in designated rack at the rear of the parking lot. Numbers are important to establish ownership.
Proceed to the Plumas Pines and check in to receive timing chip.
